CONFERENCE ETIQUETTE & ITINERARY

Dear Conference Registrant,

Thank you for registering to attend our 2009 Leadership Development Conference. We have planned an exciting and informative program for your enjoyment. The highlight of this year’s conference is the election of new regional and National officers.

We would like your stay to be as comfortable and pleasurable as possible.  Our headquarter hotel, the Hyatt Regency, Capitol Hill is sold out as well as rooms we reserved in a nearby hotel.  Space will be at a premium, so please come with an accommodating spirit of sisterly and brotherly love.  We are attempting to adjourn early in the evenings to give you time to explore some of the treasures within our Nation’s Capitol. The hotels are within 3 blocks of Union Station where you will find shopping, restaurants, movies, a pharmacy, the Metro Subway Red Line, and the Amtrak train station. Our Host Committee will be available to assist you with directions and event suggestions.

This year our conference registration process will be much easier.  Your conference registration badge will be color-coded. There will be one color for voting members, one color for non-voting members, and one color for guests. In addition, your registration badge will identify the Saturday workshop you are asked to attend and your Saturday Luncheon table assignment. Please note that because of the high number of late registrations, some attendees will be seated in the Luncheon overflow ballroom.

The hotel's security department has strict instructions that prohibit the selling of merchandise and raffles.  Please respect their rules by not bringing or participating in any of the above mentioned activities.  We have prepared a Commemorative Souvenir Packet ($25.00) that includes a T-Shirt, coffee mug and wristband you may purchase for this memorable affair. The schedule of conference events is listed below.
